My favorite season of the year….yeepee…!!

I’m not just a blogging terrier who doesn’t play. In the real world, I’m quite the social butterfly. I enjoy meeting new friends – canines and humans alike – and love spending some doggone good times with them outdoor, outside of this confined space that is the human habitat.
I’m quite the stunning stud, if I may say so myself, with plenty of canine admirers. But not so fast, bitches! I’m neutered! I don’t mind being neutered since it makes me much more mellow as a fellow not to mention that it’s better for my doggy health and it may or may not prolong my dog life. Either way, it helps control the canine population and also helps maintain balance and order in the animal kingdom, and I am all for balance, order and peace in this world. Hear, hear, woof, woof!
Pardon me for getting sidetracked. Where was I? Oh right, my friends and I having a doggone fun time outdoor as shown in these pictures taken by Xy one beautiful sunny day. Well, what else can I say other than that I enjoy being outdoor and playing with my friends?
I must have shown too much of an interest the other day when Xy was reading this magazine called “The Economist” – I admit that I am always interested in my buddies’ activities, especially when they’re sitting on the couch – that Xx decided it’d be funny to take pictures of me posing as a dog-nerd pretending to be reading. Ha, ha, very doglarious!! NOT!! But the joke’s on them because little do they know that I actually read newspapers and magazines that I often find lying around on the floor, and I’m dog ears and alert when my buddies’ talk to each other about anything and everything and therefore I consider myself to be well-acquainted with human affairs and world events, more so than other canines I know anyways, make no bones about it!
Sure, I lounge on the couch occasionally, which dog doesn’t??
Lounging around isn’t all I do. Sometimes I need a quiet time all to myself to read…
and try to understand what’s going on with this world, which is why I sometimes look fatootst…
I promised that I will showcase my athletic prowess that rivals the world’s fastest human, did I not? Well, I better suspend my hound chatters while I present my best athletic performance yet. And it just so happens that I found this footage of me doing what I do best on the desktop, taken by Xx last week on the last day of summer. Doggone, I miss those warm summer days! Look out, Usain Bolt! Here I come!!
As I’ve mentioned previously, I’m dogsessed with squirrels. My hunting instinct must’ve come from my Scottish Highlands ancestry, not that I’ve been to Scotland me self, but ‘ya know, I’ve got the Scottish blood running through me veins. Any hoot, I’m just sayin’, my hound dog instinct always manifests itself into my signature pose: the 3-point Stance (which is well documented in pictures taken by my buddies) when I’m out for a walk in the park; and believe you me, there are lots of parks where we live and there’s plenty of squirrels living in the parks. So you see, it’s kinda hard for me to contain me self when we’re out for a walk in the park. Here’s the part that sucks: I’M ALWAYS ON THE LEASH!!! So even when I see squirrels mocking me with their goofy faces, I can’t chase them, let alone hunt them and eat’em alive!! My buddies just won’t let me!!! Although, I can’t really blame them for putting me on the leash every time we get out of the house. Firstly, it’s kinda the law in the city where we live. Secondly, I think they learned a lesson or two when I made a sudden dash into traffic (which luckily wasn’t busy at the time) without my leash on one time. Plus, they can never catch up with me once I start to sprint – the only human that can catch up with me once I start sprinting is Usain Bolt, and my buddies ain’t him. You haven’t seen me sprint yet, you’ll see!
This situation happens every time when we’re out for a walk in the park, like a deja vu of some kind – and I can’t figure out why!! But I have a pretty good temperament, so I usually obey. I’m sure my buddies are happy with that.
For my first post I thought I’d paw about my experience in the park where my buddies took me the other day. Lucky for me, I found some pictures and films of myself (a handsome chap as xy would often call me) on their computer. Woof, this computer is so easy to use; even I can paw away nonsense with my two front paws and have my own blog. My buddies recently got this Mac computer to replace the old “windows” run computer they had before, I’m glad they did, I’d never been able to figure out that “windows” computer – too complicated for a dog, err….k9.
Xx likes to tease me about squirrels, often telling me to chase a squirrel even when there isn’t one around, snort! Actually, both xx and xy tease me about squirrels since they know how annoyed I am by them, those little buggers! Anyway, I found this little film about me trying to chase a squirrel. (My buddies love taking my pictures and films, so much so that they can be irritating sometimes, like those paparazzi, you know, and I’m not even a celebrity, really, I guess they just adore me too much, ahem… and I don’t mind as long as I get those dogilicious treats that I very much deserve).
As my buddies would say, “Ta…ta….for now…” I need a nap.
